UPDATE - Follow the link for 2008 HSV E-Series Maloo Sydney Motor Show Photo Gallery and details

Our friend ‘Holden Man’ has once again slaved over a hot Power Mac and provided CarUpdate with an exclusive insight into what the HSV VE Maloo may (will?) look like.

Given the recent VE Ute side pressing photos we have seen this has to be a ‘near as damnit’ sneak peak of the new Maloo based on the VE sedan platform.

Looks sensational!

Thats fantastic news Brad and by looking at the beast i reckon it will go off! Can your source give us any more details as to the exact look or do you think the above picture is pretty acurate?

This is worse then the normal VE Ute about to come out.
It looks like a demented space ship.
Grow some brains Holden! And create a real car that will sell and not fall apart.

will probably move the F6 along if holden releases this machine… we can only dream of a 7L option in years to come….

I’m sooooooo excited about this ute :)
It’s about time the Holden ute offered more space behind the seats! This will certainly convert a lot of begrudged Ford ute owners :)
Everyone should get one… “I just want one”…

That is one seriously awesome looking Maloo, Love the colour. I have some other sneek peeks of what the new Maloo ute will look like and it is very similar. I also hear that there will be the option of a GTS model in the Maloo that willl replace the R8 version.

this is the worst ute iv seen holden bring out for a long time… although its still better than any ford utes… and i hope the Maloo doesn’t look like that

If they replace the R8 with a GTS that would be AWESOME!

That would kill everything else on high end market…

Those photos look awsome but hopefuly the maloo come with a different set of wheels although the GTS rims look phat as. HSV will only make a maloo R8 for the E series and I was told by someone very high up in the front office at HSV that they are making a polit vehicle for a wagon later this year.

this ute has got to be one of the best holden hav brung out. although the head lights almost slightly reemble the ford ones i still think that in 50 years it’ll be a holden legend

Prior to this I would not have considered a ute. I think it looks great. What angers me though is that this car is designed and built by Australians, for Aussies yet GM have the nerve to convert it to left hand drive, ship it to the US and charge them 30% less for it. Doesn’t anybody feel ripped off?

For that reason alone, Holden can stick it up their backside.

It’s always good to hear other people’s point of view but anyone suggesting the new Maloo doesn’t look good has no taste in cars.
I should also point out that comments on this forum are free regardless of how many words you use, so maybe some of you meatheads could learn to spell and use some of the grammar you would have been taught back in grade 5. You don’t honestly expect to be taken seriously if you communicate like a neanderthal do you?
