TMR News and Features
Finally some decent pictures of the new Mini Clubman, in fact these are the first official pictures, which explains why we can now see exactly what the funky new-comer looks like.
The new Clubman has some notable features including the split rear doors and the clamshell (suicide) side door on the passenger side as you can see in the pictures. This innovative little door will allow greater ease of access to the second row seats.
Mini have achieved a nice blend of modern and retro. Note the rear detailing including twin wipers on the rear door glass, chrome rear door handles and grey/silver plastic panels that cover the c-pillar and rear tail-light area. It would appear that the Germans do Mini better than than Brits…
Engine options are expected to mirror the standard Mini line-up and will include Cooper and Cooper S variants. Expected to go on sale around the end of this year we can expect to see the first Clubman’s in Australia during 2008.

hmm… wish it had wooden panels like the original… but the name “clubman” brings back bad memories (british leyland… *shudders*)
